

Weekly Skill-Based Culinary Classes for Ages 9-13

MemberChef® is Sprouts Cooking School’s exclusive members-only skill-based culinary program for children ages 9 to 13 and runs September through May. The program is modeled after culinary school and is designed for students with a true passion for cooking and who want to improve their culinary skills.
While the program begins in September and the skills learned each month build upon one another, children are welcome to join throughout the MemberChef® school year as class availability allows.
A MemberChef® will:
- Attend on-going weekly classes (90 minutes) with their culinary cohort that run September through May
- Learn a new culinary skill each month as the curriculum builds upon past classes
- Host a tasting for the student’s special guest at the end of each month
- Earn a custom-designed pin to wear on their exclusive black Sprouts Cooking School chef coat at each monthly skills demonstration
- Enjoy a graduation at the completion of the program in May

Starting in September, Carmel MemberChef® cohorts meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 6:00-7:30 pm.
Zionsville classes will begin in October after the new location opening. Cohorts will meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 6:00-7:30 pm.
The first month’s subscription fee will draw at the time of enrollment. When registering for your preferred MemberChef® class day, please select the “1st” of the upcoming month you want your child to attend. For example, if you wish to begin classes in September, select “starting from” September 1st. You will be auto-billed on the 1st of each month of your membership. Enrollment beginning mid-month will be prorated. A 30 day cancellation notice is required for the membership.

MemberChef® FAQs
MemberChef is a subscription-based program that bills at $159 per month and runs September through May.
When registering for your preferred MemberChef® class day, please select the “1st” of the upcoming month you want your child to attend. For example, if you wish to begin classes in September, select “starting from” September 1st. You will be auto-billed on the 1st of each month of your membership. Enrollment beginning mid-month will be prorated.
For Intro memberships, there is a one-time cost of $65 for MemberChef® Starter Kit, which includes chef jacket, binder, cut glove, and all earned pins.
Each month’s fourth class is a finale where participants host a special guest, showcase skills mastered, and celebrate the receipt of their mastered skill pin. The final class for each month will include a MemberChef Tasting where parents or a special guest will be invited to taste a sampling of food that demonstrates skill mastery.
All classes within the calendar month must be attended for students to earn skill pins.
Sprouts teachers will email prior to month start with curriculum notes and specific details for your Sprouting Chef’s sessions.
Class sizes are small by design and led by 1 lead teacher and 1 assistant teacher. Only 16 seats are available in each session.
All classes are drop-off and 1.5 hours long.
Doors open 5 minutes prior to the start of class.
MemberChef®is non-transferable, non-refundable
In store, 30 day written notice is required for cancellation
If a class is missed, it must be made up within the same calendar week.
