Homemade Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 Tablespoons cornstarch
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

 

Directions:

In a microwave safe bowl, combine sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt. Whisk dry ingredients together. Slowly add milk to prevent lumps. Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Whisk. Microwave again in 1 minute intervals, whisking after each minute, until the pudding has thickened and is shiny (in my microwave this takes about 3-4 more minutes). Stir in butter and vanilla. Place plastic wrap directly over the pudding to prevent a skin from forming. Refrigerate and serve cold. Enjoy!
